Drummondville, in the Heart of the Centre-du-Québec Region
Visez plus haut! Vos projets iront loin.

Located halfway between Montréal and Québec City, the Centre-du-Québec Region covers an area of nearly 7,000 km2 and consists of five regional county municipalities (RCM), including the Drummond RCM, whose county seat is the city of Drummondville.

Drummondville spreads over at the heart of the Montérégie plain, at the junction of Québec’s most important crossroads. This strategic location has enabled the city to become a real driver for regional economic development, particularly in the field of manufacturing. Over the past two decades, Drummondville stood out advantageously due to the diversity of its economy. Although key industries that have forged its reputation, like textiles, clothing, furniture and wood are still present, other sectors are booming, such as paper, metal products, machinery, transportation equipment, electronics, plastics, composite materials and food.

Business opportunities in the fields of specialized services, shopping, health, finance, insurance, education, transportation, and many others complement strong manufacturing activity.

High Performance Infrastructure

Thanks to the extensive road network surrounding the city of Drummondville, several major Canadian and American markets are easily accessible.

In addition, a reliable high-speed telecommunications network covers the entire territory. This advanced technology allows companies to fully develop and to keep their competitive edge.

Drummondville, a Great Place for Business and Leisure Tourism

If Drummondville enjoys an enviable notoriety on the national economic chessboard, it is largely because of two important meeting and convention centers as well as its fair center, the Centrexpo Cogeco. The fair center is in operation since December 2014 and has a total area of 87,000 square feet.

In the city nicknamed the Capital of Expression and Traditions, culture is promoted in all its forms. Multiple organizations and institutions are working for the development of authentic and colorful activities: performing arts, visual arts, movies, festivals, literature, crafts, music, heritage... there's something to suit all tastes.

The splendors of nature have also much to offer to sports and outdoor-activity fans. Agritourism, cycling and ecotourism are just a few of the many recreational possibilities in the Drummondville region.
